Platform Extension Proposal

The Atlas Partner Portal Bringing Agents into Atlas

Build a rich network of travel agent partners and grow On Course Tours - seamlessly within your Atlas platform

What it adds

What it can do

Everything needed to run a travel agent channel, built into the Atlas platform.

01

Agent invitations & onboarding

Invite an agency onto Atlas. They manage their own accounts and bookings, with access to tours chosen by On Course staff.

02

Rates & tour access

Set rates & commissions for agents, and provide access to tours.

03

Reserved room capacity

Hold a block of rooms or seats for an agent on a tour, managed within existing inventory to ensure no overbooking.

04

Agent Portal Experience

Agents can book their clients onto tours within Atlas, invite them to book themselves, and track & manage their client bookings.

05

Pipeline & forecasting

Forecast from agent holds, track conversion, and measure realised revenue.

06

Manage & grow your agent channel

See each agent's contribution to net revenue, track their growth across the year, and run targeted promotions to the agents you want to grow.

07

Automated Commission Calculation

Atlas reports what each agent has earned by tour and period, so you have accurate figures to settle from with automatic settlement as a future capability.

08

Support for Travel Agents*

Through the existing feedback/support mechanism, Plaintext provides support and collects feedback within the platform, taking the support burden off the On Course Team.

* The level of agent support depends on your chosen Atlas support plan. Break/fix is always covered; on premium we also handle user support for the agents themselves.

Example workflows

01
Channel Growth

Grow Your
Agent Channel

See what every agent contributes to net revenue, open one to track their growth across the year, then send a targeted promotion (a featured tour at a special rate) straight to their portal.

02
Onboarding

Invite an Agency
& Set Rates

Add a new agency, choose which tours they can sell, and set a net rate or commission for each. They get a secure link to start booking, and you can change their terms at any time.

03
Capacity & Pipeline

Reserve Capacity
& Track Pipeline

Hold a block of rooms for an agent on a departure so their clients always have space. Switch to the pipeline view to see held options, deposits due, and revenue across every agent.

How we work

A fixed-price build,
with ongoing support

  1. 01

    Initial planning session

    • Kick off with a sprint planning session where we define the key needs the product will address.
    • Lay out assumptions and out-of-scope items, so we're aligned before the build starts.
  2. 02

    Build

    • A focused build of the portal, with regular check-ins as it comes together.
  3. 03

    Delivery

    • Start onboarding agents, and collect feedback from agents and staff as they use it.
  4. 04

    Retrospective

    • Look back together to confirm we've met the key needs for On Course and your agent partners.
    • Surface findings from the build and feedback, and identify items for improvement or future sprints.
  5. 05

    SupportOngoing

    • Ongoing break/fix, backups, and support for staff using the platform.
